I ran across this video yesterday from Amnesty TV, Amnesty International’s version of The Daily Show. This week’s segment featured in The Guardian is titled “How not to get punished for being a woman.” Ooooo! Tell me how!

The video focuses on women in Saudi Arabia. Damn! Oh well.

I couldn’t quite figure out how to embed the video player, but the link is featured below. The video makes some really good points, but it has an unfortunate…racism…to it. There have been plenty of truly hilarious clips produced by Amnesty TV – like asking ambassadors from habitual human rights abusers to sign Amnesty’s birthday card and how to write a defiant dictator’s speech – but this one strikes the wrong chord. At least for me. Watch it and see for yourself.
